After the much awaited take down of this old deodar cedar, which had a rotten hollow at its base. We had the job of digging out it’s gigantic roots and stump which is superior to using a stump grinder as the entire this is gone allowing us to level the area and seed it. This will mean it looks like the tree was never here. Incidentally there is a sapling deodar about 20 feet from the parent tree which is going to be allowed to continue to grow as a replacement for this ancient beauty and is in a much better place in relation to the buildings in order to be left to develop into maturity.
